ROACHDALE – Mrs. Clara E. Long, 62, a resident of the Roachdale community all of her life, died at 11:42 Saturday at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health for five years. Mrs. Long was born May 16, 1907, in Indiana, the daughter of Alex Keck and Ellen Disney Keck. She was married to George Long. Mrs. Long was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Bernice Smith of Rt. 1, New Ross, Mrs. Myrtle Davis of Roachdale and Mrs. Edith Anderson of Stilesville, Ind.; four son, John Long of Crawfordsville, Bill Long and Jake Long, both of Roachdale, and George Long of Ladoga; one niece, Ida Keck of Roachdale; a nephew, Robert of Crawfordsville; 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Perkins Funeral Home in Roachdale. Rev. Ray Britton will officiate, assisted by Rev. Leslie Chadwick. Burial will be in the cemetery at New Maysville. Friends may call at the funeral home. -– jlr
